InnoCare Pharma drops 10% in afternoon trading, offloading shares on news of strategic research collaboration with Eli Lilly for funding

  {Economic Information Daily, 24th} InnoCare Pharma (09969) H-shares are down 9.6%, trading at HK$14.24. Yesterday, the stock reached today's high of HK$16.20. The stock has traded approximately 14.6 million shares, amounting to HK$220 million. Its A-shares (SSE: 688428) are currently trading at RMB 30.77, down RMB 2.63, or 7.9%, with turnover of RMB 652 million involving 20.4 million shares. At current prices, the A-shares trade at a 151.3% premium to the H-shares.

  InnoCare Pharma announced it has entered into a strategic research collaboration and license agreement with Eli Lilly and Company to develop new drugs.

  Under the agreement, InnoCare will leverage its proprietary drug development platform and research expertise to develop and advance compounds against up to five targets to address key unmet medical needs. According to the terms of the agreement, the company is eligible to receive up to $100 million in upfront and near-term payments, as well as up to approximately $3.25 billion in development and commercialization milestone payments, subject to achieving applicable conditions and milestones. Additionally, the company will be eligible to receive tiered, single-digit percentage royalties based on annual net sales of the products. (am)
