Bipartisan U.S. congressional lawmakers jointly introduced a bill last Friday (25th), proposing to ban the federal government from using Chinese-made optical modules (optical transceivers) in government systems involving sensitive information, aiming to reduce potential risks posed by such equipment to U.S. artificial intelligence data centers and government systems. The bill targets optical modules produced by Chengdu Sicoya (Shenzhen: 300502) and Accelink.
Previously, the U.S. Department of Defense has already placed Accelink and other companies on the "1260H List".
