Half-day T/O at HK$18bn, or 20% of Total
[ET Net News Agency, 29 September 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$90.91 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$17.88 billion, or 19.67% of the market's turnover. There were 808 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and XIAOMI-W (01810) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.07 billion and HK$961.57 million, or 5.97% and 5.38% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 29.58% and 50.48% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$703.61 million and HK$644.86 million of short sales, accounting for 3.93% and 3.61% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 38.94% and 19.17% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.2, or 0.79%, to HK$25.1. XIAOMI-W ended down HK$0.72, or 2.78%, to HK$25.14. CSOP HS TECH fell HK$0.052, or 1.24% to HK$4.152. TENCENT declined by HK$6.8, or 1.55%, to HK$433.
