　　{Economic Daily News} reported on the 30th: Japanese stocks surged in afternoon trading, with the Nikkei 225 Index closing at 66753, up 1272 points or 1.94%. The South Korean KOSPI Index closed at 6838, down 32 points or 0.48%.

　　The US dollar against the Japanese yen was quoted at 156.97/99.
