Japanese stocks rise at midday, Nikkei 70249 up 302 points, yen exchange rate 157.97

The Economic Information Daily News Agency reported on the 6th: Japanese stocks rose at midday, with the Nikkei 225 index at 70249, up 302 points or 0.43%. South Korea's KOSPI index was last reported at 6930, down 73 points or 1.04%.

The US dollar against the Japanese yen was last quoted at 157.96/98.
