Sasa International announced that its total turnover for the second quarter ended 30 September reached HK$1.41 billion, an increase of 37.2%.
The group stated that offline sales in Hong Kong and Macau during the National Day holiday rose over 60% year-on-year, with like-for-like sales increasing over 50% year-on-year. The number of transactions, average transaction value, and number of items per transaction all showed significant year-on-year growth. The group recently launched new concept design stores in busy areas such as Mong Kok and Tsim Sha Tsui, enhancing foot traffic and extending customer dwell time.
During the second quarter, total offline sales amounted to HK$1.22 billion, up 47.6%, while online business sales reached HK$190 million, down 5%. Offline sales in Hong Kong and Macau grew 52%, with like-for-like sales rising 46.9%; average transaction value, total number of transactions, and number of items per transaction all recorded growth. The operational optimization strategy in Southeast Asia is gradually yielding results, with offline sales rising 11.4% year-on-year; calculated in local currency, it also recorded positive year-on-year growth. As of the end of September, there were a total of 162 stores in Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asia, a net increase of 2 stores during the quarter.
Currently, the Hang Seng Index stands at 24,031, down 98 points or 0.4%, with main board turnover of nearly HK$3.1 billion. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index is at 8,063, down 18 points or 0.2%. The Hang Seng Tech Index is at 4,183, down 10 points or 0.3%. (vs)
