Microsoft (US.MSFT) announced pricing and release plans for its new Surface laptops. The new Surface models use NVIDIA (US.NVDA) chips designed for Windows laptops, supporting both general computing and artificial intelligence tasks. Microsoft stated that the Surface Laptop Ultra processes AI prompts twice as fast as Apple's (US.APPL) MacBook Pro M5, and generates video six times faster than comparable Apple devices.
Additionally, the starting price of the Surface Laptop Ultra is $2,599, about $400 lower than Apple's 16-inch entry-level MacBook Pro.
Currently, the Hang Seng Index stands at 24,053, down 76 points or 0.3%, with turnover of nearly HK$44.6 billion on the main board. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index is at 8,105, up 22 points or 0.3%. The Hang Seng Tech Index is at 4,154, down 40 points or 1%.
