Xiaomi Auto announced that from September 7 to October 7, within 30 days of the Penglai series launch, confirmed orders have exceeded 70,000 units.
According to domestic media reports, several mainstream smartphone brands have initiated price adjustments for flagship products. Among them, the entire Xiaomi 17 Ultra series will uniformly raise prices starting today, with an increase of RMB 1,000. The report indicates that all versions currently sold on Xiaomi's official website have already implemented the new pricing. The starting price of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra standard version has been adjusted from RMB 6,999 to RMB 7,999; the 12GB+512GB version simultaneously increased from RMB 6,999 to RMB 7,999; the 16GB+512GB version rose from RMB 7,499 to RMB 8,499; and the 16GB+1TB version was raised from RMB 8,499 to RMB 9,499.
The higher-end Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica edition also saw its price increased from RMB 7,999 to RMB 8,999; the 16GB+512GB version rose from RMB 7,999 to RMB 8,999; the 16GB+1TB version was adjusted from RMB 8,999 to RMB 9,999.
Analysts suggest this price adjustment is not to make room for new product launches. Based on the typical flagship product iteration cycle, the next-generation model is unlikely to appear for at least another half year. The core reason for raising prices across the entire series at this stage is to absorb the direct pressure caused by the sharp increase in memory chip costs.
