On October 8, the automotive information platform DCar released a related test video claiming that the brake pedal brackets of three Zunjie V800 vehicles broke during emergency braking tests, causing the vehicles to lose braking capability and requiring reliance on the P gear for emergency braking. On the same day, the related news trended on热搜, drawing widespread public attention.
In response, Zunjie Automotive issued an official statement via its Weibo account on the evening of October 8 titled "Explanation on Issues Related to the Brake Pedal Bracket Base of Zunjie Vehicles," addressing DCar's report about fractures in the pedal bracket base of Zunjie vehicles. Zunjie Automotive stated: "Braking systems directly affect user safety, and we take seriously the concerns raised by the related video."
Zunjie Automotive claims that its braking system has undergone full-process development and validation, meeting requirements higher than national standards (GB 21670-2025/GB 7258-2026) and industry standards (QC/T 788-2018). Since the first batch of vehicles were delivered, there have been no instances of brake pedal bracket base fractures in actual user scenarios.
Zunjie Automotive emphasized, "User safety is always our top priority. Even under non-standard, extreme testing conditions, we aim to provide users with higher safety redundancy: we will further optimize the design of this component and offer free upgrades to already delivered customers. Meanwhile, we will conduct systematic reviews and enhancements on design validation, test boundaries, and production quality management for related components, continuously improving our safety systems. We thank all users for their attention and oversight of Zunjie Automotive." (jq)
