Apple reportedly to unveil first touchscreen MacBook and new iPad mini at end of October

The Economic Daily News reported on the 9th, citing sources, that Apple has set to unveil its new smart home strategy next week, and plans to hold another launch event around October 27 to introduce its first touchscreen MacBook, a new iPad mini, as well as 14-inch MacBook Pro and iMac equipped with the M6 chip.

The Mac and iPad product launches will primarily target creative professionals engaged in video production, photo editing, and music production. Apple's last similar product showcase event was held in Los Angeles, the United States, in 2024.

Apple will also hold a smart home launch event on October 13. The release of these products is part of an unprecedented wave of device launches since CEO Teunus took office last month. He hopes to lead the tech giant into new markets and boost revenue from related services. (rc)
