MINISO opens nearly 6% higher, third-quarter GMV in mainland China rises up to 30%, up about 20% in the U.S.

EETOP News Agency reported on the 12th that MINISO (09896) is currently up 5.7%, trading at HK$18.99, with approximately 320,000 shares traded, involving a turnover of HK$6 million.

MINISO announced that the gross merchandise value (GMV) of goods sold in mainland China for the third quarter ended September 30 increased by 25% to 30% year-on-year, accelerating further compared to the first half of this year, primarily driven by high single-digit same-store sales growth. Meanwhile, during the National Day holiday period from October 1 to 7 in mainland China, total GMV increased by 20% to 25% year-on-year, mainly driven by low single-digit same-store sales growth.

Regarding overseas markets, GMV in the U.S. market increased by approximately 20% year-on-year in the third quarter, driven by new product arrivals, with GMV growth rebounding to over 30% in September and recording positive same-store sales growth. As for YOYO, GMV exceeded RMB 1 billion in the first nine months, and it has expanded to 53 countries and regions worldwide.

Currently, the Hang Seng Index stands at 24,434, up 223 points or 0.9%, with turnover on the main board exceeding HK$2.9 billion. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index stands at 8,229, up 81 points or 1%. The Hang Seng Tech Index stands at 4,241, up 43 points or 1%. (vs)
