Despite the sharp decline in sales, regarding the controversy over the brake pedal, domestic media cited the official Zeekr Automobile statement titled 'Explanation on Zeekr V800 Brake Pedal Testing Situation,' stating that on the 11th, a nationally accredited third-party testing agency inspected the Zeekr V800 brake pedal. The results showed that the Zeekr V800 met the industry standard QC/T788-2018 requirements (longitudinal force 1500N, displacement <5mm). After further rigorous testing under longitudinal force up to 3000N, no cracks or damage were observed.
The Zeekr V800 is a million-yuan-class ultra-luxury MPV jointly developed by HarmonyOS Intelligent Driving and JAC Motors, officially launched on August 5, 2026. The vehicle is offered in three configurations: Enjoy Edition, Executive Edition, and Navigation Edition, priced from 766,000 yuan, 866,000 yuan, and 1,016,000 yuan, respectively.
Earlier this month, D懂CheDi conducted real-world tests on three Zeekr V800 units, claiming that the brake pedal bracket broke during 100km/h-0 emergency braking, sparking widespread online discussion. On October 8, Zeekr Automobile officially released a statement regarding issues related to the brake pedal bracket base, stating that the braking system was developed and verified to standards higher than national/industry standards, and will offer free upgrade options.
