In the first half of 2026, Tai Hing Group continued to advance its core business strategy of "brand upgrading + store optimization + precise marketing," abandoning extensive expansion and instead focusing on improving existing stores and selectively expanding new ones. At the store level, the group integrated its store networks in Hong Kong, Macau, and mainland China, closed inefficient outlets, refurbished stores in core commercial areas, and optimized staff allocation while implementing employee incentive mechanisms, significantly enhancing per-store operational efficiency. As of the end of June, the group maintained a stable global restaurant network of 218 outlets, with continuous improvement in store quality.
In terms of brand operations, the group iterated its product offerings for different consumer scenarios, launching new products for each of its segmented brands to better meet the demands of younger consumers and tourists. Its core flagship brands and internet-famous niche brands complement each other: Tai Hing focuses on classic Hong Kong-style cuisine, solidifying its mass-market base; Man Wah Bing Teng, with its youth-oriented and internet-famous positioning, continues to scale up and has become the core driver of revenue growth. Meanwhile, leveraging its membership app for precise marketing and riding on Hong Kong's tourism and cultural boom, the group effectively increased foot traffic and average spending per customer, leading to continuous improvement in like-for-like sales performance.
On cost control, amid raw material price volatility triggered by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, the group effectively hedged against rising input costs through synergies from its in-house production facilities and optimized centralized procurement strategies. At the same time, through refined management, it continuously reduced the proportion of labor and rental costs relative to revenue, steadily restoring its operating profit margin and laying the foundation for high-profit growth.
The group's interim results for the period ended June 30, 2026, recently disclosed, show outstanding overall operating data and a leap in profitability, with a significant improvement in profit quality. During the period, the group achieved total revenue of HK$1.852 billion, an 8.2% year-on-year increase. The steady revenue recovery was primarily driven by the rebound in the number of visitors to Hong Kong, a revival in local consumption, and growth in like-for-like sales of core brands.
Profit performance was particularly outstanding. In the first half, the group recorded a net profit attributable to shareholders of HK$74.875 million, a substantial 83.5% increase compared to HK$40.8 million in the same period last year. The profit growth rate far exceeded revenue growth, highlighting the effectiveness of cost reduction and efficiency enhancement. By brand, the flagship brand Tai Hing generated nearly HK$700 million in revenue, up 7.9% year-on-year, accounting for 37.6% of total revenue, with a solid core business base. Man Wah Bing Teng achieved revenue of HK$480 million, up 8.4% year-on-year, growing faster than the group average and representing 25.6% of total revenue, demonstrating strong growth momentum.
In terms of cash flow, the group generated a net operating cash flow of HK$399 million, indicating ample cash reserves and strong risk resilience. Additionally, the group significantly rewarded shareholders with an interim dividend of 6.2 cents per share, a notable increase in dividend payout, reflecting management's strong confidence in the company's current operations and future development. Overall, the group achieved steady revenue growth, significant profit recovery, and healthy cash flow, with its interim results far exceeding market expectations.
Looking ahead to the second half of 2026 and the medium to long term, Tai Hing Group possesses multiple growth drivers, and its development prospects appear generally optimistic. In the short term, Hong Kong's continued promotion of event-driven economic initiatives and the frequent rollout of cultural and tourism activities are expected to sustain high visitor inflows, continuously boosting offline catering consumption and providing stable support for the performance of the group's stores in Hong Kong and Macau.
From a medium to long-term perspective, the advantages of the group's multi-brand strategy will continue to unfold. Leveraging its mature brand operations, supply chain systems, and localized management experience, the group can flexibly adapt to the diverse consumer demands in Hong Kong, Macau, and mainland markets, consolidating its market share through continuous product innovation and store upgrades. Meanwhile, its refined management model has formed a closed loop, with continuous improvements in cost control, staff efficiency, and marketing precision, suggesting that profitability is likely to maintain a steady upward trend. With a current price-to-earnings ratio of under 14 times and a dividend yield of over 7.2%, the overall valuation is attractive, and investors may consider positioning for medium to long-term investment.
