Musk Says He Experienced Six 'AI Psychosis' Episodes in the Past Year, Amazed That AI Can Understand Aesthetics
EEToday News (May 15) - SpaceX CEO Musk recently revealed that the development of artificial intelligence (AI) has caused him anxiety and restlessness, saying he has "developed cyber psychosis," a condition he described as quite severe. He mentioned having experienced about six episodes of "AI psychosis" in the past year, sparking heated discussions in the tech community.
'AI psychosis' is not a clinical medical term, commonly used to describe the phenomenon where frequent use of AI intensifies users' delusions, or to mock industry insiders who have unwavering faith in AI.
Musk explained that his so-called 'AI psychosis' stems from his amazement at AI's ability to understand aesthetics, which he finds incredibly unbelievable. He said: 'You'd think: wow, AI actually demonstrates good taste? That's incredible.' (rc)
