Riding on the bearish momentum of US stocks on Wednesday night (14th), the Hang Seng Index dipped to as low as 24,020 yesterday (15th); some holders of Hang Seng Index bull certificates were forcibly liquidated, yet there was no sign of large bearish players launching attacks on the heavily concentrated bull certificate zone of the Hang Seng Index at 23,600–23,699 at that time. Today (16th) is the last trading day of this week, and Hong Kong stock markets will be closed on the next Monday (19th) for the Double Ninth Festival holiday; if all the bull certificates within the heavily concentrated zone of the Hang Seng Index are not forcibly redeemed today, the willingness of large bearish players to enter the market and launch massive liquidations should be limited, which is favorable for the continuation of the ultra-short-term rebound wave. Whether this can evolve into a short-term rebound wave depends on whether market buying interest significantly increases at the beginning of next week. Frankly speaking, yesterday's market did not plunge sharply amid a further deteriorating investment climate, and its performance was actually quite decent. The current heavily concentrated zone for Hang Seng Index bull certificates is located at 23,600–23,699, with a total of 41 bull certificates; if the Hang Seng Index is pushed down to 23,600 by large bearish players, a total of 122 bull certificates will be forcibly redeemed, generating a bearish impact equivalent to 3,260 Hang Seng Index futures short positions.
