HONG KONG, March 20 (Economic Daily) – JiTai Technologies-P (07666) announced a strategic collaboration with Eli Lilly and Company (Lilly) focused on the research and discovery of novel lipid nanoparticle delivery solutions, aiming to achieve tissue-specific delivery of therapeutics. The group will receive an upfront payment of over ten million U.S. dollars and is eligible for total development, regulatory, and commercial milestone payments of up to approximately $1.1 billion, as well as tiered royalties at a single-digit percentage of annual net sales from products arising from the collaboration.

    The group stated it will leverage its ionizable lipid discovery and optimization platform, AiLNP, to develop next-generation delivery technologies with enhanced potential for lipid nanoparticle delivery targeting and biodistribution. Lilly will contribute expertise in drug discovery, development, and commercialization. Lipid nanoparticles have become a method for delivering therapeutic payloads to target tissues and cells. (wh)
