HK$92.84 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$14.3 billion, or 15.41% of the
market's turnover. There were 690 short-selling stocks. BABA-SW (09988) and TENCENT
(00700) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.21 billion and HK$1.73
billion, or 15.43% and 12.13% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 30.57% and 16.28% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and TRACKER FUND (02800) registered HK$1.54 billion and HK$1.13
billion of short sales, accounting for 10.75% and 7.88% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 20.26% and 38.99% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-SW closed up HK$13.3, or 8.07%, to HK$178.1. TENCENT ended up HK$12, or 2.4%, to
HK$511. MEITUAN-W rose HK$8, or 2.8% to HK$293.6. TRACKER FUND jumped HK$0.36, or 1.36%,
to HK$26.8.
