[ET Net News Agency, 26 September 2023]  Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$82.47 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$13.84 billion, or 16.79% of the market's turnover. There were 687 short-selling stocks. BYD COMPANY (01211) and TRACKER FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$888.66 million and HK$848.69 million, or 6.42% and 6.13% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 39.06% and 20.27% of respective stock's turnover.
  TENCENT (00700) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$655.77 million and HK$440.46 million of short sales, accounting for 4.74% and 3.18% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 13.68% and 13.17% of respective stock's turnover.
  BYD COMPANY closed down HK$8.6, or 3.47%, to HK$239.2. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.25, or 1.36%, to HK$18.09. TENCENT fell HK$4.4, or 1.45% to HK$300. HSCEI ETF declined by HK$1.04, or 1.67%, to HK$61.08.
