billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$7.42 billion, or 11.57% of the market's
turnover. There were 655 short-selling stocks. MEITUAN-W (03690) and TENCENT (00700) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$839.68 million and HK$617.29 million, or
11.32% and 8.32% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
26.68% and 16.38% of respective stock's turnover.
XI2CSOPHSTECH (07552) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$563.94 million and
HK$267.98 million of short sales, accounting for 7.6% and 3.61% of the total short sales
values respectively. The transactions represented 66.91% and 16.27% of respective stock's
turnover.
MEITUAN-W closed up HK$9.2, or 8.4%, to HK$118.7. TENCENT ended up HK$12.6, or 3.63%, to
HK$359.8. XI2CSOPHSTECH fell HK$0.465, or 7.69% to HK$5.585. CSOP HS TECH jumped HK$0.146,
or 4.02%, to HK$3.774.
