billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$19.06 billion, or 16.4% of the market's
turnover. There were 665 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and MEITUAN-W (03690)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.6 billion and HK$1.33 billion, or
13.63% and 6.97% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
33.55% and 23.56% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$1.1 billion and HK$1.05 billion of
short sales, accounting for 5.79% and 5.52% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 12.81% and 47.61% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.25, or 1.37%, to HK$18.56. MEITUAN-W ended up HK$0.6, or
0.5%, to HK$119.7. TENCENT rose HK$4, or 1.11% to HK$364.4. HSCEI ETF jumped HK$1.12, or
1.72%, to HK$66.38.
