billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$25.51 billion, or 17.66% of the market's
turnover. There were 679 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF (02828)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$7.39 billion and HK$2.7 billion, or
28.96% and 10.57% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 76.02% and 57.22% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$1.53 billion and HK$880.32 million
of short sales, accounting for 6.01% and 3.45% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 15.86% and 15.08% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.12, or 0.65%, to HK$18.68. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$0.12, or
0.18%, to HK$66.5. TENCENT rose HK$5.8, or 1.59% to HK$370.2. MEITUAN-W jumped HK$0.6, or
0.5%, to HK$120.3.
