billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$8.63 billion, or 13.71% of the market's
turnover. There were 626 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and MEITUAN-W (03690)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.05 billion and HK$645.5 million, or
23.74% and 7.48% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
55.15% and 24.21% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and XL2CSOPHSTECH (07226) registered HK$491.78 million and HK$230.92
million of short sales, accounting for 5.7% and 2.68% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 13.04% and 39.49% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.15, or 0.8%, to HK$18.53. MEITUAN-W ended down HK$4.6, or
3.82%, to HK$115.7. TENCENT fell HK$6, or 1.62% to HK$364.2. XL2CSOPHSTECH declined by
HK$0.168, or 4.2%, to HK$3.832.
