billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$23.59 billion, or 16.02% of the market's
turnover. There were 661 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF (02828)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$7.06 billion and HK$1.61 billion, or
29.92% and 6.83% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
67.9% and 42.37% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and BABA-SW (09988) registered HK$845.93 million and HK$653.21 million
of short sales, accounting for 3.59% and 2.77% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 10.95% and 10.29% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.15, or 0.78%, to HK$19.27. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$0.46, or
0.68%, to HK$68.5. TENCENT rose HK$7.2, or 1.94% to HK$378.2. BABA-SW jumped HK$3.2, or
4.11%, to HK$81.15.
