billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$21.15 billion, or 15.66% of the market's
turnover. There were 700 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and HSBC HOLDINGS
(00005) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.73 billion and HK$1.58
billion, or 8.16% and 7.45% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 39.09% and 32.26% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$1.36 billion and HK$912.05 million
of short sales, accounting for 6.44% and 4.31% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 16.72% and 20.68% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.036, or 1.08%, to HK$3.286. HSBC HOLDINGS ended down
HK$3.7, or 5.63%, to HK$62.05. TENCENT fell HK$1.6, or 0.45% to HK$356.6. MEITUAN-W jumped
HK$2.8, or 2.69%, to HK$106.8.
