There were 650 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and MEITUAN-W (03690) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.45 billion and HK$695.53 million, or 11.47% and 5.51% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 9.28% and 17.53% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$571.18 million and HK$529.29 million of short sales, accounting for 4.53% and 4.2% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 15.63% and 25.14% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.13, or 0.65%, to HK$19.84. MEITUAN-W ended down HK$1.1, or 0.63%, to HK$174.6. HSCEI ETF fell HK$0.34, or 0.47% to HK$72.16. XIAOMI-W declined by HK$0.25, or 0.88%, to HK$28.2.
