[ET Net News Agency, 26 May 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$127.71 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$24.64 billion, or 19.3% of the market's turnover. There were 681 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and MEITUAN-W (03690) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$5.76 billion and HK$2.34 billion, or 23.37% and 9.5% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 60.36% and 29.59% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$2.04 billion and HK$1.71 billion of short sales, accounting for 8.28% and 6.96% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 27.6% and 43.85% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed down HK$1.08, or 1.22%, to HK$87.26. MEITUAN-W ended down HK$7, or 5.11%, to HK$129.9. TRACKER FUND fell HK$0.2, or 0.84% to HK$23.62. CSOP HS TECH declined by HK$0.06, or 1.17%, to HK$5.075.
