[ET Net News Agency, 28 May 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$99.95 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$13.86 billion, or 13.87% of the market's turnover. There were 656 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and TRACKER FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.5 billion and HK$1.38 billion, or 10.83% and 9.97% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 37.24% and 23.72% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$1.07 billion and HK$756.68 million of short sales, accounting for 7.75% and 5.46% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 16.15% and 54.25% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed down HK$0.3, or 0.34%, to HK$86.88. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.12, or 0.51%, to HK$23.54. XIAOMI-W rose HK$0.7, or 1.36% to HK$52.25. CSOP HS TECH declined by HK$0.035, or 0.69%, to HK$5.06.
