There were 663 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.02 billion and HK$1.46 billion, or 16.51% and 7.96% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 39.61% and 47.92% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$1.09 billion and HK$828.14 million of short sales, accounting for 5.94% and 4.52% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 20.8% and 16.71% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.1, or 0.42%, to HK$24.06. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.055, or 1.08%, to HK$5.17. MEITUAN-W rose HK$3.7, or 2.63% to HK$144.4. BABA-W jumped HK$2.9, or 2.53%, to HK$117.5.
