There were 709 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.51 billion and HK$1.28 billion, or 7.88% and 4.03% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 28.42% and 20.97% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and BYD COMPANY (01211) registered HK$1.18 billion and HK$984.44 million of short sales, accounting for 3.7% and 3.09% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 14.81% and 38.15% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed down HK$1.88, or 2.11%, to HK$87.06. CSOP HS TECH ended down HK$0.133, or 2.6%, to HK$4.992. MEITUAN-W fell HK$5, or 3.75% to HK$128.3. BYD COMPANY declined by HK$3, or 2.35%, to HK$124.5.
