[ET Net News Agency, 3 July 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$130.58
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$13.45 billion, or 10.3% of the market's
turnover. There were 672 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and XIAOMI-W (01810) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$892.4 million and HK$777.74 million, or
6.63% and 5.78% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
9.41% and 9.28% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER FUND (02800) registered HK$738.94 million and HK$642
million of short sales, accounting for 5.49% and 4.77% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 29.83% and 14.37% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed down HK$3.9, or 3.56%, to HK$105.5. XIAOMI-W ended down HK$2.65, or 4.41%,
to HK$57.5. CSOP HS TECH fell HK$0.065, or 1.25% to HK$5.115. TRACKER FUND declined by
HK$0.14, or 0.57%, to HK$24.5.
