There were 723 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.59 billion and HK$2.46 billion, or 8.29% and 7.86% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 15.53% and 28.13% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and BIDU-SW (09888) registered HK$1.9 billion and HK$1.37 billion of short sales, accounting for 6.08% and 4.38% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 21.79% and 52.14% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W closed up HK$0.3, or 0.26%, to HK$113.8. CSOP HS TECH ended down HK$0.005, or 0.09%, to HK$5.33. MEITUAN-W fell HK$2.1, or 1.66% to HK$124.1. BIDU-SW jumped HK$0.85, or 0.97%, to HK$88.55.
