[ET Net News Agency, 27 October 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$156.53 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$21.64 billion, or 13.83% of the
market's turnover. There were 724 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and XIAOMI-W
(01810) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.41 billion and HK$1.35
billion, or 6.52% and 6.23% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 16.31% and 17.33% of respective stock's turnover.
SMIC (00981) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$1.24 billion and HK$1.18 billion of short
sales, accounting for 5.72% and 5.44% of the total short sales values respectively. The
transactions represented 17.27% and 12.38% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.28, or 1.04%, to HK$27.08. XIAOMI-W ended down HK$1.24, or
2.7%, to HK$44.68. SMIC rose HK$1.9, or 2.38% to HK$81.9. BABA-W jumped HK$5.4, or 3.21%,
to HK$173.7.
