There were 740 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and XIAOMI-W (01810) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.75 billion and HK$1.52 billion, or 5.56% and 4.86% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 16.3% and 20.5% of respective stock's turnover.
POP MART (09992) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$1.52 billion and HK$1.37 billion of short sales, accounting for 4.85% and 4.36% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 26.45% and 16.23% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W closed down HK$4.9, or 2.97%, to HK$160.1. XIAOMI-W ended down HK$1.2, or 2.76%, to HK$42.24. POP MART fell HK$12.8, or 5.88% to HK$204.8. TENCENT declined by HK$10, or 1.55%, to HK$634.
