There were 714 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT (00700) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.17 billion and HK$991.1 million, or 7.42% and 6.27% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 25.59% and 21.1% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and POP MART (09992) registered HK$968.37 million and HK$546.84 million of short sales, accounting for 6.13% and 3.46% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 21.19% and 17.33% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.2, or 0.76%, to HK$26.54. TENCENT ended up HK$10.5, or 1.66%, to HK$644.5. BABA-W rose HK$1.5, or 0.94% to HK$161.6. POP MART jumped HK$14, or 6.84%, to HK$218.8.
