HK$114.97 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$14.78 billion, or 12.85% of the
market's turnover. There were 759 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.78 billion and HK$1.23
billion, or 12.07% and 8.29% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 32.96% and 17.97% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$1.13 billion and HK$1.1 billion of
short sales, accounting for 7.68% and 7.42% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 18.65% and 12.8% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.055, or 1%, to HK$5.545. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$0.54, or
0.58%, to HK$93.9. MEITUAN-W fell HK$1.5, or 1.46% to HK$101. BABA-W jumped HK$5, or 3.3%,
to HK$156.5.
