billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$12.43 billion, or 12.56% of the market's
turnover. There were 756 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and MEITUAN-W (03690)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.63 billion and HK$764.85 million, or
13.08% and 6.15% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
33.84% and 20.96% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$538.8 million and HK$476.54 million of
short sales, accounting for 4.33% and 3.83% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 14.95% and 6.63% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.02, or 0.08%, to HK$26.22. MEITUAN-W ended down HK$2.9, or
2.91%, to HK$96.65. TENCENT fell HK$2.5, or 0.4% to HK$617. BABA-W jumped HK$2.4, or
1.55%, to HK$157.3.
