HK$179.31 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$31.36 billion, or 17.49% of the
market's turnover. There were 792 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.98 billion and HK$3.91
billion, or 15.88% and 12.48% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 38.32% and 50.16% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$1.87 billion and HK$1.79 billion
of short sales, accounting for 5.97% and 5.7% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 21.34% and 36.22% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.2, or 0.77%, to HK$26.14. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$0.94, or
1.02%, to HK$93.34. BABA-W rose HK$0.8, or 0.52% to HK$154.4. CSOP HS TECH jumped HK$0.08,
or 1.48%, to HK$5.5.
