HK$210.47 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$29.98 billion, or 14.25% of the
market's turnover. There were 797 short-selling stocks. XIAOMI-W (01810) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.2 billion and HK$2.05
billion, or 7.32% and 6.84% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 18.72% and 26.27% of respective stock's turnover.
PING AN (02318) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$1.96 billion and HK$1.16 billion of
short sales, accounting for 6.52% and 3.87% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 33.21% and 9.54% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W closed up HK$0.8, or 1.91%, to HK$42.78. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.14, or
0.54%, to HK$26.28. PING AN rose HK$3.8, or 6.71% to HK$60.45. BABA-W jumped HK$0.6, or
0.39%, to HK$155.
