HK$315.19 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$42.64 billion, or 13.53% of the
market's turnover. There were 815 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and BABA-W
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$6.63 billion and HK$2.97
billion, or 15.55% and 6.96% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 54.61% and 12.1% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$1.7 billion and HK$1.59 billion of
short sales, accounting for 3.99% and 3.72% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 11.17% and 19.77% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed flat, to HK$5.74. BABA-W ended up HK$5.6, or 3.63%, to HK$159.9.
TENCENT rose HK$4.5, or 0.72% to HK$627.5. XIAOMI-W declined by HK$0.76, or 1.96%, to
HK$37.98.
