[ET Net News Agency, 23 January 2026] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$240.87 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$32.96 billion, or 13.69% of the
market's turnover. There were 791 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.82 billion and HK$2.08
billion, or 8.57% and 6.3% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 31.5% and 27.97% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and POP MART (09992) registered HK$1.6 billion and HK$1.3 billion
of short sales, accounting for 4.85% and 3.94% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 14.72% and 17.79% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.03, or 0.53%, to HK$5.67. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$0.62, or
0.66%, to HK$93.94. TRACKER FUND rose HK$0.1, or 0.37% to HK$26.96. POP MART jumped
HK$13.6, or 6.6%, to HK$219.6.
