There were 774 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and ZIJIN MINING (02899) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$610.97 million and HK$597.37 million, or 4.35% and 4.26% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 9.29% and 16.51% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and TRACKER FUND (02800) registered HK$417.6 million and HK$368.91 million of short sales, accounting for 2.97% and 2.63% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 7.31% and 6.01% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed up HK$0.92, or 0.98%, to HK$94.58. ZIJIN MINING ended up HK$1.72, or 4.08%, to HK$43.9. BABA-W rose HK$3.6, or 2.18% to HK$168.8. TRACKER FUND jumped HK$0.3, or 1.11%, to HK$27.28.
