[ET Net News Agency, 10 February 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$133.82 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$18.04 billion, or 13.48% of the market's turnover. There were 772 short-selling stocks. MEITUAN-W (03690) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.12 billion and HK$1.03 billion, or 6.19% and 5.7% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 28.21% and 44.63% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and POP MART (09992) registered HK$971.1 million and HK$880.9 million of short sales, accounting for 5.38% and 4.88% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 16.89% and 24.07% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W closed down HK$2.75, or 3.02%, to HK$88.3. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.045, or 0.85%, to HK$5.345. BABA-W rose HK$2.3, or 1.46% to HK$160.2. POP MART jumped HK$11.2, or 4.35%, to HK$268.4.
