[ET Net News Agency, 20 February 2026] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$165.37 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$39.49 billion, or 23.88% of the
market's turnover. There were 840 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER
FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.83 billion and HK$4.62
billion, or 12.23% and 11.7% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 64.44% and 52.08% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$3.37 billion and HK$2.2 billion of
short sales, accounting for 8.53% and 5.56% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 44.5% and 21.02% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.155, or 2.95%, to HK$5.105. TRACKER FUND ended down
HK$0.34, or 1.26%, to HK$26.64. HSCEI ETF fell HK$1.46, or 1.57% to HK$91.72. BABA-W
declined by HK$7.6, or 4.91%, to HK$147.1.
