There were 802 short-selling stocks. TENCENT (00700) and BABA-W (09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.22 billion and HK$1.1 billion, or 5.95% and 5.38% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 16.34% and 15.81% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and BYD COMPANY (01211) registered HK$804.59 million and HK$775.65 million of short sales, accounting for 3.92% and 3.78% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 19.37% and 37.32% of respective stock's turnover.
