[ET Net News Agency, 12 March 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$131 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$21.06 billion, or 16.08% of the market's turnover. There were 794 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT (00700) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.43 billion and HK$1.09 billion, or 6.77% and 5.15% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 22.06% and 19.13% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$760.43 million and HK$737.03 million of short sales, accounting for 3.61% and 3.5% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 32.72% and 17.62% of respective stock's turnover.
