There were 800 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TENCENT (00700) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.87 billion and HK$1.23 billion, or 9.14% and 6.01% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 40.74% and 22.07% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and TRACKER FUND (02800) registered HK$898.46 million and HK$720.56 million of short sales, accounting for 4.4% and 3.53% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 24.3% and 11.73% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.03, or 0.61%, to HK$4.894. TENCENT ended up HK$6, or 1.1%, to HK$552.5. BABA-W rose HK$2, or 1.52% to HK$133.6. TRACKER FUND declined by HK$0.16, or 0.61%, to HK$25.88.
