[ET Net News Agency, 20 March 2026] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$342.52
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$60.03 billion, or 17.53% of the market's
turnover. There were 843 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and XIAOMI-W (01810)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$7.33 billion and HK$4.25 billion, or
12.21% and 7.08% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
20.94% and 31.56% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$3.8 billion and HK$3.72 billion of
short sales, accounting for 6.33% and 6.2% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 29.18% and 14.49% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.2, or 0.78%, to HK$25.56. XIAOMI-W ended down HK$3.12, or
8.59%, to HK$33.2. HSCEI ETF fell HK$1.22, or 1.37% to HK$87.8. BABA-W declined by HK$8.3,
or 6.29%, to HK$123.7.
