[ET Net News Agency, 27 March 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$135.77 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$25.02 billion, or 18.43% of the market's turnover. There were 783 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and TRACKER FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.89 billion and HK$1.88 billion, or 19.55% and 7.52% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 49.66% and 26.96% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and POP MART (09992) registered HK$1.8 billion and HK$850.86 million of short sales, accounting for 7.18% and 3.4% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 28.78% and 21.84% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed up HK$0.96, or 1.12%, to HK$86.74. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.14, or 0.56%, to HK$25.28. MEITUAN-W rose HK$1.45, or 1.67% to HK$88.15. POP MART jumped HK$1.3, or 0.86%, to HK$152.
