billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$49.96 billion, or 18.99% of the market's
turnover. There were 814 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and TRACKER FUND (02800)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$8.3 billion and HK$5.52 billion, or
16.62% and 11.04% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 46.46% and 26.7% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$2.68 billion and HK$1.49 billion of
short sales, accounting for 5.36% and 2.98% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 30.75% and 14.87% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed up HK$0.66, or 0.77%, to HK$86.44. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.06, or
0.24%, to HK$25.2. MEITUAN-W fell HK$0.8, or 0.92% to HK$85.9. TENCENT declined by HK$2.2,
or 0.44%, to HK$493.4.
