billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$40.5 billion, or 15.84% of the market's
turnover. There were 840 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and XIAOMI-W (01810)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.89 billion and HK$1.61 billion, or
4.67% and 3.99% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
12.04% and 29.19% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$1.44 billion and HK$1.39 billion of
short sales, accounting for 3.55% and 3.43% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 11.5% and 16.17% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.08, or 0.32%, to HK$25.08. XIAOMI-W ended down HK$0.62, or
1.91%, to HK$31.76. TENCENT rose HK$2.4, or 0.5% to HK$484. BABA-W declined by HK$1.5, or
1.24%, to HK$119.
